Honestly I don’t know what to put for the title there. I don’t have any interesting story to tell because we didn’t go anywhere during the weekend. At first we planned to go to enjoy the scenery of Sakura on Saturday but hubby was still exhausted and slept until afternoon on that day. That was due to the (Ina-Oshima)-(Nagano-shi)-(Ina-Oshima) long hours journey by train on the day before that. He went out of the house at 6.00 a.m and reached home at 9.00 p.m since he stopped at the trainees’ house for a while. He brought back 4 Ebi Burgers from Lotteria, 2 for each of us hehehe. I have been waiting for him patiently since the morning hoping that he would arrive home safely with the burgers. Thanks Ayang for bringing back the burgers for me mmuahhh!
On the Saturday we just stayed at home and watched Cari Menantu and Wakenabeb until final episode. During the night, we together prepared western roasted chicken since hubby had been nagging to eat roasted chicken. I didn’t take any picture of the roasted chicken but the taste was yummy! As for yesterday, we thought of going to the Sakura park since we cancelled the plan on Saturday but hubby had been informed by his boss that the Sakura hasn’t fully blooming yet at the place we planned to go. We planned to go to Takamori or Ina-Shi, whatever the name is; I don’t remember and not sure. We checked the website and yup it was right the Sakura will be blooming fully may be by next weekend. So we postponed the plan to next weekend and I just hope, the weather also will be beautiful on that day. So yesterday we just stayed at home too and hubby went out to buy groceries during the evening. Nowadays he is already addicted with the PS 3 and couldn’t hesitate to play with the trainees at their house =P. Especially when he always got to be the winner so that’s what made his butt glued at the floor of their house even more. May be I have to suggest him to get us a PS 3 too. But I don’t like to play games, do I? haih! As for last night, I cooked laksa and it tasted so delicious especially after quite some time haven’t eaten it.
Ouh yes before I forgot, I made Baked Marble Strawberry Cheesecake on last Thursday so that hubby could have special breakfast before he went to Nagano-Shi on Friday. At last, the cheesecake turned out successful and yummy! I am SURELY gonna make it again someday. Simply delicious and we love it to the bits. Thanks a lot to Mama FaMi for sharing the recipe with us. But sadly, now Mama FaMi is stopped from updating her Fotopages for a while until when I don’t know. Might be she has more other important things to look after to. Whatever it is, I will always still be her loyal visitor since furthermore I have yet to try her so many other tempting recipes. Hmmm, how about the chiffon cake? Sigh… I can’t make it yet since I haven’t found strawberry essence, one of the main ingredients for the cake. I also couldn’t find any other simple chiffon recipe as that one to try. Grrr, I have to be patient and will only try it once I got all the ingredients. This is also the reason why I made the strawberry cheesecake, so that I didn’t think a lot about the craving of the chiffon cake ;P

Baked Marble Strawberry Cheesecake (Mama FaMi Fotopages)
250 g Philadelphia Cream Cheese
45 g flour
100 g sugar
2 tablespoons honey
200 ml fresh cream
2 tablespoons Strawberry Yogurt
Juice of 1 lemon
- Beat cheese and sugar till light and fluffy.
- Add in eggs, one at a time and continue beating.
- Add in yogurt, lemon juice, honey and flour. Continue beating.
- Finally, pour in the fresh cream and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 2 portions. One portion to be left plain and the other half, add the red coloring.
- Take a scoop of the red mixture and drop it in the middle of the cake tin and then a scoop of plain mixture on top of the red. Continue this procedure till all mixture is finished.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees C for 50 – 60 minutes.
Note: I just added 2 tablespoons of lemon juice instead of 1 lemon and the cake much better for us compared to before when I added juice of 1 lemon (depends to your liking), the cake turned out quite sour. My cake in the picture was baked in preheated oven at 160 degrees C at 60 minutes too but might be because of the difference of oven used it turned out darker compared to this recipe which I referred. Somehow, it wasn’t over baked though. I let the cake cooled down in the oven with the pane slightly open for at least an hour. Then I kept the cake in the fridge for about 12 hours before eating.
